Jewish Education System: 

Bet Sefer (House of the Book) - Ages 6-10 

Bet Talmud (House of Learning) - Ages 10-14 

Bet Midrash (House of Study) - Ages 14-18 

Luke 2:46-47  After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers.

Matthew 11:29–30 (Jesus said) 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me... 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 4:18-20 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. 


Matthew 4:21–22 21 Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him

Matthew 14:28-31 28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."… 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.
