The Muslims, the Jews & the News

(Revelation 6, 13, Ezekiel 39)       8-18-24

Luke 12:54–56 ⁵⁴ He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. ⁵⁵ And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. ⁵⁶ Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time? 

• IRAN THREATENING ISRAEL…

Ezekiel 38:1–6 The word of the Lord came to me: ² “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog… ⁵ Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, ⁶ also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you. 

Ezekiel 39:3 ³ Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand.

Ezekiel 39:6 ⁶ I will send fire on Magog (Russia) and on those who live in safety in the coastlands… 

Ezekiel 39:9-10 ⁹ " 'Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up… For seven years they will use them for fuel. ¹⁰ They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel

Ezekiel 39:12-15 ¹² " 'For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land… ¹⁴ " 'Men will be regularly employed to cleanse the land… At the end of the seven months they will begin their search. ¹⁵ As they go through the land and one of them sees a human bone, he will set up a marker beside it until the gravediggers have buried it…” 

Zechariah 13:8–9 ⁸ In the whole land,” declares the Lord, “two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it. ⁹ This third I will put into the fire (Tribulation); I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them…

Zechariah 14:12 “This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.”     

Ezekiel 39:25, 29 ²⁵ “I will now restore the fortunes of Jacob and will have compassion on all the people of Israel… ²⁹ I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

THE MUSLIM - CHRISTIAN CONTRAST:

1. FAITH – WE ARE TOLD TO PRESENT IT! 

• MUSLIMS ARE TOLD TO FORCE IT! 

1 Cor. 13:13 (ESV) ¹³ So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

            Worldwide Obedience to Islam: (The Ultimate Goal)

- Koran 2:193 “Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme.”

- Koran 9:33 “He it is Who has sent His Messenger with the… True Religion (Islam) that He may make it prevail over all religions.” 

            Radical Islam is a Peaceful Religion (?)

- Koran 8:12-13 “I will cast horror into the hearts of the disbelievers. Strike off their heads. Strike off their fingertips.’ ¹³ This is because they defied Allah and His Messenger.”

- Koran 9:5 “slay the pagans wherever you find them. Capture, besiege, and ambush them. If they repent, perform prayers and pay the religious tax, set them free.” 

Matthew 24:36–37 ³⁶ “But about that day or hour no one knows... ³⁷ As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man

Genesis 6:11–13 ¹¹ Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence (Hebrew: “Hamas”)… ¹³ So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence (“Hamas”) because of them. 

2 Thessalonians 2:3-11 ³ Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs... ⁹ They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. ¹¹ For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 

2. LOVE – WE ARE TOLD TO SHOW IT! 

• MUSLIMS ARE TOLD TO RESERVE IT! 

Matthew 5:44–45 ⁴⁴ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, ⁴⁵ that you may be children of your Father in heaven. 

John 13:35 ³⁵ By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

1 John 4:16–18 ¹⁶ God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. ¹⁷ This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.

The FOUR HORSEMEN of the APOCALYPSE: 

(Revelation 6)

            - WHITE – Counterfeit Conqueror (Anti-Christ)

            - RED – Given Power to “Take Peace” from Earth & “Make 

               people Kill each other”

            - BLACK – Create Famine

            - GREEN (PALE) – Given Power over ¼ of Earth to Kill by… Sword, Famine,                  “Pestilence” (“Condemned to a Violent Death”)

Revelation 20:4 (ESV) ⁴ Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

Revelation 13:16–17 (ESV) ¹⁶ Also it causes all… to be marked on the right hand (arm) or the forehead, ¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. (“hand” originally meant the whole arm)

Revelation 13:18 ¹⁸ This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666. (“666” - Not originally numbers, but letters… χ ξ σ´)

• “number” arithmós = a definite number, an indefinite number, a multitude.

• “calculate” psēphízō = decide upon, vote for.

- RE-READ assuming letters, not numbers…

Revelation 13:16–18 (ESV) ¹⁶ Also it causes all… to be marked on the right (arm) or the forehead, ¹⁷ so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the (multitude) with its name. ¹⁸ This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight (decide upon or vote for) the (multitude) for the beast, for it is the (multitude) of a man (Muhammad perhaps?). That (multitude) is (“In the name of Allah) χ ξ σ´”. 

Koran 9:5 “slay the pagans wherever you find them. Capture, besiege, and ambush them. If they repent, perform prayers and pay the religious tax, set them free. Allah is All-forgiving and All-merciful.”

Rev. 13:15 ¹⁵ …and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

3. HOPE – WE ARE TOLD TO SHARE IT!

• MUSLIMS ARE TOLD TO DIE FOR IT! 

John 3:16–17 ¹⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 

2 Peter 3:9, 15 ⁹ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance… ¹⁵ Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, 

Revelation 21:4 (ESV) ⁴ He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more
