PURE IN HEART     10-29-23

Memory Verse:

Matthew 5:8 ⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

(“Pure” = “Unmixed” or “Unalloyed”)

PREREQUISITES TO SEEING GOD: 

1. UNMIXED                                        TO GOD!

• The PURER the Gold, the                                     it is!

• The SOFTER the Gold, the                                        to DENT! (Hurt)

 “A Christian is a person whose ____________ is broken by the 

things that break the heart of God.”

Matthew 23:26 ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. 

• Jesus wants me to be                               , Not RELIGIOUS!

• The PURE in Heart, are the                                    in Heart!

2.                                                DEVOTION TO GOD!

• “ALLOYED” – To Debase something by                               something Inferior to it which Reduces its’ Value because it is Less                            .

• The Mixing of Metals can make them Stronger, but Less                                !

• PURE means “_   ____________” or “___ ______ _____” DEVOTION to GOD.

3. A HEART PUMPING “___________ DEVOTION” TO THE ___________ OF THE BODY!

Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart,”

Isaiah 55:8–9 ⁸ “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. ⁹ “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Psalm 37:4 (NASB) ⁴ Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

When PURE (Unmixed) Devotion to God is Pumped by the HEART to the REST of the BODY, then you will SEE GOD clearly because His WAYS become your WAYS and His THOUGHTS become your THOUGHTS.
