PeaceMaking is the Resolving of Conflicts with the ________, by which Sin is Exposed, and Addressed, and Right Relationships Established.

Matthew 5:23-24 ²³ "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, ²⁴ leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.”

Steps to Peace Making:

1.)  Identifying the

3.)  Addressing the _                                                                                                             

• CONVICT, not _                                                                    !

4.)  Building a _                                       between the Parties at Odds 

• CONSTRUCT, not _                                                                     !

5.) The Game-Stopper:  _                                                         to the Spirit!    

• COMPLY, not _                                                                             !

 4,000 YEAR OLD FAMILY FEUD:

Genesis 15:18–21 ¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates.

Genesis 16:9–12 ⁹ Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” ¹⁰ The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.” ¹¹ …“You shall name him Ishmael.... ¹² He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

Peace Making in the CHURCH:

Matt. 18:15 ¹⁵ "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.

Matthew 18:16 ¹⁶ But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.'

Deuteronomy 19:15 (ESV) ¹⁵ “A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established.
 

Action Step #3 - CHURCH TO                                       

Matthew 18:17 ¹⁷ If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church…

Action Step #4 - SEPARATE TO                                                              

Matthew 18:17 ¹⁷ …and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
