Paul’s Formula in writing Ephesians:

- An Indicative tells us what God has already done. (It Indicates something)

- An Imperative tells us we’re to live up to what is already true of us! (It’s Imperative)

Ephesians 1:1-3 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ

MEMORY VERSE:

Ephesians 4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Philippians 3:16 Let us live up to what we have already attained

Colossians 3:1-3 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Romans 12:1 I urge you… in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship (“Proper” = Reasonable Expression)

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Romans 4:6 David… speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits (“Imputeth”) righteousness apart from works (“Imputeth” - To DEPOSIT something to someone’s account)
