Finding Joy

John 16:16-22

Pastor Paul Weir

Missionary of the month

Nathan Porter

Missions Organization: InterVarsity

Serving in: CSU Channel Islands & Moorpark College -  Bosnia Global Project

These are some prayer requests from Nathan:

1. That we would continue to see new students come to faith in Jesus, and deepen commitments to involvement with InterVarsity and the local church.

2. For the spiritual strengthening of student Bible study leaders. There are currently 7 student-led Bible studies at CSU Channel Islands and 3 at Moorpark College, and they are always in need of God’s help and provision.

3. For preparations for the Bosnia Missions Trip this summer.  I will be leading a team of four students to spend a month  doing evangelism and building relationships with Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

4. Vanessa, who is in the process of fundraising to begin working as a full-time InterVarsity staff at Channel Islands, would receive God’s blessing and receive her funding quickly.  She is currently at 72% of her needed support.

Support our ministry

The death and resurrection of Jesus represent the most generous gift ever given – when the King of Glory gave up everything in order to reconcile us to God. Giving cheerfully, sacrificially, and consistently is a part of our worship. When we are generous with others, we remind one another of the great generosity of our God. If you would like to make a one-time gift or set up recurring automatic giving online please follow the link below. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to Simi Community Church.
