Missionaries of the month

Doug & Denise Winkler

Colorado & Eurasia & The Navigators

  • Missionary Training
  • National Training
  • Travel to Eurasia 6 times a year
  • Coordinate short-term mission trips

These are some prayer requests from Doug & Denise:

1. Currently four summer camps have finished & there are still two more camps to go in Eurasia, one is in Russia & one is in Kazakhstan.  Praise God for all the staff, & for each student that has attended & will attend.

2. Please pray for the follow-up of these summer camps.  We ask for prayer for campers to sign up for further English classes allowing us more contact with the students.

3. Pray for endurance for the teachers & that the love of Christ would be evident in such amazing ways that the students would be drawn to Christ & want to read their bibles. Pray for any strongholds to be broken.

4. Pray that in the churches of Kazahstan the fruit of the ministry would be for God's calling for them to live in community with each other.

5. Pray for the new young Christian leaders to DREAM BIG! Pray for them to have courage, strength & protection in these Eurasian countries.

Congregational Care is a wonderful ministry that walks alongside people during difficult times. It offers encouragement, support and helps people with their needs. They are looking for volunteers with all different skills. Please contact Marie Gray at or click the link below to fill out the form if you would be interested in volunteering for this impactful ministry.

Please bring USED stamps (cut out with a 1/4" perimeter) and box tops to the church office or the Welcome Center booth. This will help raise funds for Tecate Missions. Tecate Missions International works to evangelize to the lost, train nationals, and plant churches.

Support our ministry

The death and resurrection of Jesus represent the most generous gift ever given – when the King of Glory gave up everything in order to reconcile us to God. Giving cheerfully, sacrificially, and consistently is a part of our worship. When we are generous with others, we remind one another of the great generosity of our God. If you would like to make a one-time gift or set up recurring automatic giving online please follow the link below. Thank you for your generosity and commitment to Simi Community Church.
